So the rebuild is nearly complete. All broken bits have been changed, modes to wiring made, about ready for some final checks and a test fly.

The results of a fly away. I had turned on Return To Launch, all looked good to start with, drone gained high as it would normally but it rolled hard to the right and headed straight for the ground.

Add video monitor, forward facing camera and a video switcher to the drone allowing me to now see where I’m going and what I’m recording.
Video from first flight using my Yi camera mounted on Storm32 3 Axis Brushless Gimbal. Some serious Jello can been seen on the video and you can see the props. I guess up rated gimbal vibration dampers might help the jello. Surprised i can see the props, guess the Yi Camera has a wider angle lens than I thought. I’ll have to see what it’s like […]
Now time for the brains, Pixk Hawk in place, I am using the external GPS / Compass on a mast rather than the internal Pixc Hawk GPS as i figure it will get less interference and give a cleaner more stable position.
